Added Security For QuickBooks® Desktop Users

Posted on December 17, 2020December 17, 2020Author PFI StaffNews

An additional level of security has been added to QuickBooks® Desktop. The Intuit account “provides a platform to control users’ access to … connected services without granting access to the QuickBooks® Company file.”

According to Intuit an account is mandatory for the following circumstances:

  • When a new QuickBooks® Company file is created
  • For QuickBooks® Desktop Users with Payments, Payroll direct deposit, TSheets time tracking, Payroll Workforce, Receipt Management (new for QB 2021)
  • When an existing QuickBooks® Desktop Company file is opened using the Admin credentials and no Intuit account is associated with the file

*Pro and Premier users may delay action up to 28 days and Enterprise users up to 42 days
